The ingredients needed to prepare Potato toffee:

  1. Take 1 cup of All purpose flour.
  2. Prepare 1/2 tsp of carom seeds.
  3. You need 1 tsp of salt.
  4. You need 250 gm of oil.
  5. Provide 1 cup of water.
  6. Provide 1 of chopped green Chilli.
  7. Prepare 1 tsp of paprika powder.
  8. Provide 1/4 tsp of garam masala.
  9. Take 1/2 tsp of chaat masala.
  10. Provide 3 tbsp of besan(gram flour).
  11. Take 2 of big boiled and mashed potatoes.
  12. Prepare 1 tbsp of coriander leaves.

Steps to make Potato toffee:

  1. Mix the all purpose flour, carom seeds, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp oil...and with 1 cup water make a soft dough...and keep it aside for ten minutes and cover with damn cloth....
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil and add the chopped green chillies, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp paprika powder, 1/4 garam masala, 1/2 chaat masala...stir well..then add the besan...keep stirring for 2-3 mins...then add the mashed potatoes and chopped coriander leaves...give the potatoes a good mix... Cook it about 2-3 mins...then let it cool....
  3. Now make small division of the dough...and give it oblong shape...make three slices in the center...place a little bit of filling in the middle...then seal the edges...pinch the top and the bottom....
  4. Heat oil for frying...and deep fry them...till it becomes golden brown....
  5. Tasty potato toffee is ready to serve...serve with tomato sauce or green coriander chutney....
