The ingredients needed to make Tofu (Awara):

  1. Prepare 2 cups of soya Bean's.
  2. Use 1/2 cup of white vinegar.
  3. Take 1 Tbls of palm oil.
  4. You need of Oil to fry.

Instructions to make Tofu (Awara):

  1. Wash your soya Bean's and remove dirt's (Immediately after washing grind, because when you soak the beans for a long time it produces lots of shaft after grinding).
  2. After grinding, to get rid of the foam at the top, you add palm oil and stir.
  3. Add moderate water to the mix and sieve and put the extracted soya milk on heat.
  4. When it starts to boil (do not go far because if it boils it will overflow and pour) immediately it starts boiling pour your vinegar or any sour liquid (lime, tamarind etc) you will notice that the milk will start curdling..
  5. Allow on heat for 4-5min then off the stove, by then the curdled milk is clearly separated from the liquid Allow to cool a little and sieve.
  6. Pour into muslin cloth.
  7. Tie firmly and keep aside to remove all water.
  8. And then.
  9. Keep in fridge for a while.
  10. Then cut into desired shape.
  11. Deepfry in hot oil till golden brown.
  12. Serve with peppered sauce or you desired choice..
  13. Note, Tofu that is not fried can be portioned and preserved in the fridge till when ready for use..
